It Should Happen to a Vet

The latest audio-visual technology is not often associated with the world of animal medicine but when CPD training college CPD Solutions decided to expand the scope of their small animal surgery training courses, that’s just what was required. CPD means Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. The surgery training centre at their Ellesmere Port premises consists of a large ward of twelve operating tables where students can fine-tune their surgery techniques whilst receiving training from a highly skilled professional veterinary tutor. The limitations of this are that students need to be very close to see what is going on which limits the number of attendees and makes for a crowded operating area. To solve this problem, CPD solutions decided to install high-resolution cameras connected to screens which would show the procedures to students without needing them to be on top of the surgeon. Director Phil Creed contacted audio visual supplier Cache Media Ltd to help with the necessary equipment and asked for a suitable solution and a recommended installer.
